Collections and Services

The Center for American Studies is one of the major American institutions in Europe. The Library owns more than 75,000 books and periodicals. In addition it offers the Library of American Civilization on microfiche that includes 25,000 books and 60 periodicals.

The Library collections refer to American culture and civilization focusing particularly on History, Literature, Political Science, Law and International Relations. The Center also offers a selection of American magazines and newspapers, such as the New York Times, Time, The New Yorker, Newsweek, and the New York Review of Books. Library users can also have access to many databases.
