Reasons to change your password

  • Simply if you want to change your password
  • If this is the first time you logon and are required to change your password
  • If your password has expired
  • If your password is about to expire
Password Requirements

Maximum Password Age: 180 days - i.e. users will be prompted to change their password approximately every 6 months.
Minimum Password Age: 30 days - i.e. once users have changed their password, they may not change it again for at least 30 days.


Complexity Requirements:

Password must be at least 6 characters in length.
Password may not contain all or part of the user's account name.
Password must contain characters from three of the following four categories:
  • English upper case characters (A ... Z)
  • English lower case characters (a ... z)
  • Base 10 digits (0 ... 9)
  • Non-alphanumeric (for example, $, %) (*)
Examples of valid passwords:

Wired.33
*123*hi
hello$11

Note (*): Since we have a lot of Italian keyboards at John Cabot, it is not recommended that you use those symbols (e.g. #, !) that are located in a different position on the U.S. keyboard.


Changing your John Cabot Logon password

1) Click here to change your password: https://intranet.johncabot.edu/iisadmpwd/

2) When the authentication pop-up window displays, as shown in Figure 1., enter your username and password.

3) You will be redirected to the form shown in Figure 2. After you have filled in all the information, Click OK.

4) Once you have successfully changed your password, the form shown in figure 3. will be displayed.
